Arrange 2 consecutive pages to sit horizontally by hitting View and then Multiple Pages. Today, for some reason, Word decided to display itself on screen with pages side by side. I always click 'Print Layout' in the View menu. But nothing will rid me of pages side-by-side format I am stuck with today. Select Tile Vertically. Bingo, the two windows are positioned side by side. As mentioned in a comment below, you can also hold Ctrl while you click an additional taskbar button and finally right-click a third one. In this way you can arrange 3 windows at the same time. More than 3 windows also works but results in a grid layout.

Sent this to the Pages team: I purchased and had my employer purchase iMacs for me to do side-by-side editing with Pages -- only to discover, after lots of searching, that you have 'unenhanced' the software so that it no longer has that feature! For me to write research papers I need to see more, not less, of my work to connect, move, delete, and rewrite ideas.

My only option now is to do my work in Microsoft Word which does have a Two Pages option and Microsoft software is free by my employer. I was encouraging my university to switch to Macs. Now I feel the fool. I will save the time, trouble, and money and not order Pages for my office computer. Remove the person who decided to remove this feature from Pages.

I only responded to this forum because it was open ended and if some user came across this discussion, they might be left with an option. Reviews are a good spot to look and I know Apple does look at them too. Mmorpg

Sure, but there are at least 3 variables involved: 1- What size are the pages? 2- What size is the display?
